Job Overview:
The Utility Worker position is an entry-level position in the Energy Conservation trade. The utility worker is expected to participate in multiple programs and perform various duties in the Energy Saving Assistance Program. Installing HE appliances, Energy Conservation measures, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical and Insulation duties will be assign daily. The ideal candidate must be able to adapt to all environments and provide excellent customer service. The Utility worker must follow all structural guidelines established by the Energy Savings Assistance Program. In addition, the Utility Worker should complete all the tasks assigned by the Lead Technician for each project and follow all safety policies and procedures.

The Position:

Responsibilities and Duties
- Successful complete certification training or any other required training
- Install energy-saving measures for the company’s home improvement and weatherization programs.
- Conduct structural in-home energy-saving measures installments at customer’s homes, apartments, and mobile homes
- Educate customers on the energy-saving measures installed
- Report to schedule appointments on time and prepared
- Maintain accurate customer records, files, forms, and paperwork
- Stay updated on program requirements and standards
- Maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff, and utility company representatives
- Participate in the routine meetings, workshops, and training as directed by the Field Supervisor or Office Administrator
- Responsible for the good image of the company while on company time
- Responsible for performing other duties/tasks assigned by the Field Supervisor or Program Director
Requirements:
- Must have an active California Driver’s License
- Clean Driving Record
- Must Pass Drug Test and Physical Exam
- Must Pass 7 Year criminal background check
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Solid math skills
- Billingual is a plus.
