Job Description:
· Responsible to scrub through all time submitted to ensure proper payroll processing.
· Responsible for leading Absence administration including Paid Leaves and Paid Time Off.
· Liaison for problem resolution for employees regarding payroll. Payroll Specialist is the first line of troubleshooting before sending issues to Workday for programming corrections or payroll provider for true payment issues.
· Review and processing of all payroll-related tickets in a timely manner while ensuring appropriate backup documentation, accuracy, and obtaining necessary approvals as required.
· Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
· Review exception reporting to detect and resolve incorrect payroll payments.
· Prepare, process, and track wage garnishments and child support orders.
Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience performing the essential payroll functions; 8+ years in lieu of degree.
· Advanced MS Excel Skills.
· Understanding of IRS guidelines for Pre and Post tax deductions.
· Understanding of IRS compliance and limitations.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
