MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Major functions include assisting the asset manager and team in the implementation of a new computerized maintenance management software (CMMS). Assisting in asset inventory and condition assessment efforts, assessing the condition of physical assets (horizontal and vertical), integrating data collected with the CMMS and other software programs, ensuring accessibility of collected data, performing quality assurance/quality control checks on asset data, and assisting in analyzing data to improve operational and cost efficiencies. The purpose of this key position is to provide analytical and project management support to the Asset Manager in defining, implementing and maintaining the Asset Management Program.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES
Ensure that data related to the acquisition, operation and maintenance of assets is consistent, correct, and captured in the Work Management System and the Data Registry. Collect and analyze data to determine asset/system risk and criticality. Utilize asset data to identify service improvement opportunities including but not limited to scheduled maintenance program and renewal/replacement of assets or systems. Coordinate the scheduling, performance and data capture of condition assessment activities. Ensure that this information is available and used to determine probability of asset or system failure. Participate in process definition, improvement and /or simplification initiatives. Utilize sound knowledge of enterprise, productivity and specialized software to perform the activities listed above. Prepare reports, develop SOP's, and assist with level of service development. Also, assist in developing best practices for efficiency and review with impacted staff.

Ability to prepare staff and administrative reports, letters and memorandums.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to a diverse work force with various levels of education.
Proficiency with MS Excel spreadsheets.
Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with employees, management, and other departments.
Ability to work as part of a team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited two (2) year college with an Associate's Degree in Logistics, Operations, Database Management or other related field and have five (5) years of experience in water and wastewater utilities. Experience in utility asset management and CMMS a plus. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to secure a valid Florida driver's license at the time of employment within this classification.
A comparable amount of related training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
SPECIAL PREFERENCES
Graduate of an accredited four (4) year college with major course work in Business, Logistics, Database Management or other related field.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
This position may be required to report for work when a declaration of emergency has been declared in Polk County.
