What you will do:
In this role you will be a part of a collaborative team of HVAC sales experts that will help support the on-going needs of our robust client base. You will be expected to pursue local commercial HVAC projects using York equipment through plan/spec, design/build, commercial changeouts, and secure basis of design on projects in the Houston, TX market. Most days you will be calling on our customers at their place of business or on site with these customers providing solutions for their HVAC businesses or working from our office.
How you will do it:
  • Provides product and selling support through quote preparation for the Account Managers, co-workers, customers, and others who may influence the purchasing decision.
  • Performs take-offs from plans to prepare professional proposals and submittals to increase and support sales.
  • Provide basic technical assistance to Account Managers, co-works, customers, and anyone else inquiring about York products and how they fit into applications. (We have separate Service Managers who handle the in-depth technical assistance).
  • Provide product compatibility when replacements are needed for applications that are no longer available or provide an alternate way of doing a project and upsell.
  • Provide product updates to Account Managers, customer service reps, or customers through emailed updates and product presentations.
  • Become a resource for customers to call directly for take-offs and quotes to support them and the Account Managers.
  • Works with architects, engineers, builders, developers, and utilities as directed by the Account Manager and Sales Manager to provide technical assistance or information for favorable product specification.
  • Maintains competitive pricing, product data, and provide analysis to Sales Manager.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What we look for
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combined education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years in commercial HVAC product support experience, product application, system design engineering or layout.
  • Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including email and Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
  • Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Sales & Marketing, and comprehensive knowledge of the principles of air conditioning.
