Form of workThe Neshaminy School District is seeking candidates for the position of Transportation Supervisor. This 12-month full-time supervisory position is responsible for overseeing a fleet of approximately 150 buses and vans and a staff of 90 bus drivers and aides. Responsibilities include but are not limited to preparation, distribution, and publishing of schedules; supervision of all transportation department employees (bus and van drivers, dispatchers and secretary); prepare and file district and state reports; prepare, submit and monitor district transportation budget; works with partial sub-contracting service staff. Also regularly communicates with both district and out of district administrators regarding all transportation issues and communicates with parents and community regarding transportation issues.
Minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to: Minimum of five years' experience in a position with responsibilities for scheduling and fleet maintenance (preferably in a school setting); Minimum of three years of prior supervisory experience; Current CDL bus license or willingness and ability to obtain license; ability to obtain probable cause training and certification; ability to obtain PA state certification for training; strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate with staff, administration and the community; strong computer skills. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
