Warehouse Supervisor
Reports To: Branch Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Branch Manager with managing employees and activities at the branch, including properly maintaining a high value inventory and providing and maintaining excellent customer service. The Warehouse Supervisor is also responsible to accurately schedule employees and shifts with safety, productivity, and customer service in mind.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure compliance with all company policies including state and federal regulations.
- Monitor and maintain branch performance goals/standards utilizing KPI’s and other metrics.
- Assist with recruiting and training staff at the branch.
- Oversee the overall safety and security of branch and branch employees, making sure everyone uses machinery properly, maintains workstation and branch clean.
- Identify priorities and shifts resources to ensure completion of daily objectives.
- Supervise employees over daily tasks and conduct.
- Enforce policies and procedures and maintain consistency.
- Help to ensure efficient inventory control, managing deliveries, inspecting inventory, maintaining inventory records.
- Interact with company employees and customers while demonstrating a high level of professionalism including mutual trust and respect.
- Assist to coordinate branch activities to ensure smooth operation of branch.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- Proven leadership, team building, detail orientated and communication skills.
- Ability to cultivate a culture of teamwork, customer focus, and respect.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and safety.
- Experience with both fleet and MHE safety and maintenance.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and manage interruptions to meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth-oriented environment.
- Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and OR other equipment safely. and in accordance with organizational procedures.
EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license strongly preferred
- Valid CMV DOT Medical Card preferred
- Pass and maintain Forklift certification required
- 2+ years warehouse or equivalent experience required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes; Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and making fine discriminations in sound; Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects;. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time, traverse stairs, maneuver in tight spaces, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch extended periods of time during 8-10-hour work shift.
