Transportation Specialist, Jr. Analyst

What will you be doing?
Perform analysis of Domestic and International transportation processes, related to reporting, effective coordination of transportation rates and services, development and maintenance of carrier quality programs. Work across GBU's on initiatives to leverage the Global Spend. The incumbent is responsible for designing and implementing reports and dashboards to enable visibility, analysis and business insight in support strategic imperatives and ongoing business requirements. Solutions include, but are not limited to, end-user reports and dashboards, creating data models, advanced & custom data visualizations, native connectivity to multiple data sources and data ingestion from web forms and various business applications. This role will involve working closely with other global data analysts, Data engineers & Business Relationship Managers within the Data and Analytics group for teamwork

• Oversee and monitor intercompany freight spend. Work with functional areas to maintain current spending reductions and drive future savings.
• Analyze freight spend to determine additional saving opportunities and process improvements areas, including review freight related to shipping raw materials and products, as well as assisting with International Shipments.
• Work with process owners to increase revenue stream from customer related freight. Analyze current freight revenue, identify improvement opportunities and implement new processes to increase revenue from current freight customers as well as win back lost freight customers.
• Review global freight spend. Minimize use of multiply carriers and drive spend reductions.
• Assist SN stakeholders by advising and arranging transportation setup.
• Design, develop, and deploy high fidelity operational (visibility into what's happening now), strategic (supervise key performance indicators) and analytical (process data to identify trends, forecasts, and insights) reports and dashboards. The implementation process shall follow industry standards and best practices to ensure the security of information and user access points when deploying Business Analytical solutions.
• Work with Freight Audit and TMS systems.

What will you need to be successful?

• High school diploma or equivalency required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred

Experience:

• 4+ years related experience in transportation or logistics area.
• Project Management skills
• Proficient skills in Excel, Power BI
• Designer of information visualizations and dashboards
• Experience in SAP a Plus
