Position: Freight Brokerage Customer Account Specialist

As a Customer Account Specialist, you will be pivotal in building strong customer relationships and collaborating with internal teams to solve challenging customer problems. You'll provide strategic logistics solutions, process transportation requests, and negotiate competitive rates. Your focus on exceeding customer expectations will contribute to account growth and future referrals.

We encourage proactive outreach to expand our business network, address shipment issues, and stay informed about market insights. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.

At DRT, we value professionalism, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. A high school diploma is required, and a bachelor's degree is preferred, while brokerage experience is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and similar applications is expected.

Let’s look at what you will be doing:

· Build positive relationships with customers and deliver winning results for customers by offering strategic logistics solutions, becoming a key aspect of their operation

· Respond to customers with a sense of urgency to provide excellent customer service

· Schedule appointments and facilitate the coordination of the customer’s shipments from the time of pick-up to delivery

· Seek out, receive and process transportation requests for customers while negotiating market-savvy rates, adhering to customer requirements, and tracking the progression of the accounts activity

· Manage and grow accounts, grow customer loyalty, and achieve future referrals of new customers by providing advanced-level service, communication, and exceeding customer expectations

· Take advantage of opportunities for new business by making outbound calls to vendors, key decision makers, planners, and other transportations providers

· Anticipate, address and resolve any issues with delayed or damaged shipments with a high level of professionalism

· High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred, showcasing a commitment to ongoing education and professional development, along with brokerage experience
