Translation Specialist- Non Ohsu Student Worker Role

Department Overview

This position is under the supervision of Dr. Kexin Yu at the Layton Aging and Alzheimer's Disease Center.  The candidate will translate materials, conduct interviews, transcribe interview recordings, code qualitative interview data and host 30-minute online conversation sessions with older adults in Mandarin or Cantonese. Previous experience in research is preferred.

Function/Duties of Position

• Under direct supervision, primarily provides general administrative support for a project, team, or work unit. Similar to an Office Clerk or Specialist*.
• May also include some basic data entry and report generation.
• Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide*

Required Qualifications

• Enrolled in, or on vacation from, or is otherwise registered in college (undergraduate minimum 6 credit hours; graduate minimum 4.5 credit hours)
• Bilingual, fluent in English and one other language (e.g. Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese)
