Experienced RN/LPN for busy Pediatric Office. We are looking for a professional, caring, energetic, organized team player for our Troy location.
MINIMUM 1 year RN/LPN experience in a clinical setting. Associates Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree is necessary.
Experience using Electronic Medical Records.
Job responsibilities include:
1. Triage patient/parent calls including discussion of health/behavior concerns and recommendations for illness management, improvement and prevention.
2. Provide education to parents/patients regarding health maintenance.
3. Follow up Labs -- Specialist reports -- Radiology results -- NB screening and hearing tests.
4. Assist in scheduling lab tests, x-rays and specialist appointments.
5. Follow up with patients as needed (post hospital, ER, OV or specialist).
6. Refill/review medications w/Doctor (or follow protocol).
7. Submit prior authorization forms to insurance companies.
8. Occasional MA coverage (patient care assisting the Pediatrician).
9. Monitor labs, immunizations, PE's and med checks -- send reminders.
10. Oversee training of MA's -- evaluate injection training.
