The Oregon Stem Cell Center conducts basic and applied research in the field of Stem Cell Biology with the long term goal to harness the properties of stem cells for regenerative medicine and cell therapy.
Function/Duties of PositionThe Grompe Lab at OHSU's Oregon Stem Cell Center is seeking a part-time Non OHSU Student Worker (Student Laboratory Assistant).
Duties include: Preparing reagents, molecular biology, and other general lab support functions.
This position is ideal for students interested in biomedical career paths who wish to gain laboratory skills and observe cutting edge research.
Required Qualifications- Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in:
- Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)
- Prior laboratory coursework.
- Basic understanding of chemistry and biology.
- Close attention to detai.
- Strong work ethic.
Full-time undergraduate students in biomedical or pre-med majors preferred.
