Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Train new staff on TMS/MeRT machines, procedures, documentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Under the Direction of the TMS Service Line Director, assist with creating and tracking annual competencies for assigned regional TMS technicians. - Administer TMS treatments according to specific physician protocols. Set up the TMS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy.
- Record session notes, communicate with the intake department regarding insurance authorizations, and schedule patient visits using EMR.
- Conduct EEG mapping for initial and subsequent treatments of MERT. Coordinate with TMS provider on issues/concerns.
- Ensure PHQ9 rating scales are entered routinely into TMS EMR notes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout treatment.
- Address emergency situations per FCC protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- To regional sites, may need occasional travel outside region.
Supervisory or Managerial Responsibility: None
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year experience in healthcare related field preferred.
- EMT or MA background preferred.
- TMS training certification required after 90 days of employment.
- Current BLS preferred
