Trade Execution Manager will help lead and train a team of trading professionals and help manage the daily efforts of the Trade Execution team.
Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and oversee work of trading team professionals. Oversee daily trade reconciliation, resolve reconciliation issues and ensuring no aged breaks.
• Complete firmwide Trade Execution and strategy Implementation for portfolio managers and investment teams - Equity, Fixed Income, and hybrid.
• Monitor trading, post trade settlements, broker and custodian reconciliations and resolve recon breaks with brokers and custodians.
• Execute client-directed trades and daily rebalancing trade tickets.
• Oversee corporate actions for Equity and Fixed Income.
• Maintain trading system - securities, brokers, accounts restrictions.
• Establish operations policies and streamline procedures.
• Drive projects as needed, including identifying workflow and system improvements
• Consistently seek best execution approach for Corient's clients through trading efficiencies, processes, and technological proficiency.
• Monitor, trade, analyze and rebalance existing client portfolios.
• Execute and monitor client Investment Policy Statements for designated clients.
• Utilize Corient systems to communicate across various internal groups to drive efficiency.
• Work closely with the investment team through Trade Execution efforts across the client base.
• Oversee and complete stock, bond, ETF, option, and mutual fund trades as well as direct separately managed account cash flows.
• Manage firmwide large trades by driving process development and continuous improvements in trading operations.
• Additional responsibilities as requested.

DATA INTEGRITY

• Collaborate with Reporting group in maintaining securities classification and accounts set up in firm's books and records system (APX).
• Overseeing data quality/integrity as it relates to firm's traded securities.
• Managing and training a data specialist(s) who is responsible for data input, maintenance, and trouble shooting.
• Managing vendors who provide trading services - Advent Moxy/APX, CTM, Trade suite, SunGard.
• Engage and participate in data management / trading projects.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of firm Trade Execution.

PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

• Setup, assign, maintain, and monitor accounts within trading systems, understanding the concept of restrictions and investment criteria, portfolio construction rebalancing.
• Collaborate across various teams to resolve portfolio issues including Custodian reconciliations and resolution of all issues.
• Work closely with advisors by creating optimal solutions for clients and manage complex, customized HNW and SMAs.
• Maintain and audit client accounts to ensure proper implementation of investment plans, coordinating with the Investment Team and advisors.
• Regularly review cash balances in client accounts in an accurate and timely manner and maintain regular coordination with various functional groups regarding cash reserves and needs.
• Assist advisors when needed for performance and attribution analysis.
• Tax optimization and year end harvesting of tax sensitive clients.
• Engage and participate as a SME in CRM.

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS

• Bachelor's degree required with a demonstrated track record of excellence.
• Previous management experience.
• 8-10 years of experience in a trading or operations role; in-depth understanding of the industry.
• Demonstrated experience carrying out Trade Execution either internally, at a similar firm, or within the asset management industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in Performance Management Accounting systems (i.e., proficiency in Advent Moxy/APX, CTM, Trade suites, PERFORM (a plus), Bloomberg. Familiarity with custodial platforms - Fidelity. Schwab a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (above basic). Salesforce knowledge a plus.
