Pay: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, 8-hour shift

Essential Duties:
Performs a variety of administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties, including transcription of correspondence, compiling reports, and preparing other documents.
Operate office equipment including personal computers, copy machines, and scanners.
Maintain confidentiality with sensitive facility information.
Receive telephone calls and visitors; tactfully refer them to the proper individual if the warden is not available.
Maintain calendar of events, schedule, appointments, and take minutes of meetings.
Coordinate meeting arrangements such as time, place, and attendees and subject matter.
Maintain correspondence control log and coordinate preparation of special reports.
Prepare and submit monthly census report.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED) required.
Four (4) years of full-time, wage-earning clerical or secretarial experience or related experience and computer proficiency required.
Associates degree in business administration, secretarial science or related field preferred.
Thirty (30) semester hours from a college or university accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) may be substituted for each year of experience on a year-for-year basis for a maximum substitution of two (2) years.
A valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and pass an annual background check, both of which must be approved by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).
