TITLE: Thrive to Five Family Resource Center Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supervises the Family Resource Center, performs administrative duties, and coordinates with subcontractors, other departments and Thrive to Five staff to create a robust schedule of classes for the Thrive to Five families.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in early childhood development, education, family studies, social work or a related field
- At least two (2) years working in a culturally diverse setting working with parents/families of young children
- At least two (2) years of experience teaching children birth to age five
- Supervisory, coaching, or administrative experience, preferably in a school setting
- Knowledge of surrounding community and available resources for families to support children’s health and development
- Knowledge of the stages of child development, developmental milestones and age-appropriate expectations of children birth to age 5
- State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card)
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to speak, read and write Spanish (preferred)
- Professional Development experience with parents (preferred)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides initial orientation and ongoing training on all Family Resource Center policies and procedures in order to stay in compliance with First Things First Standards of Practice
- Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings to implement and reflect on best practices and standards of quality for family strengthening and support
- Works with individual staff to develop and implement annual professional development plans including identified areas for growth and opportunities for professional development
- Prepares class materials for staff training and professional development
- Works with Early Childhood and Finance areas to maintain budget, secure purchase orders for goods and services, and complete reimbursement requests
- Establishes and implements data and documentation systems for grant purposes, including participant demographic information and satisfaction surveys
- Monitors that required data is accurately collected, synthesized and reported to reflect program implementation
- Completes quarterly reports and reports as requested by the Program Coordinator
- Maintains all aspects of class registrations, attendance and files including paper and electronic records
- Corresponds with external partners and subcontractors to ensure compliance with FTF Standards of Practice
- Assigns and prioritizes work of Thrive to Five staff
- Creates marketing materials and online marketing campaigns
- Coordinates and maintains community outreach projects by participating and acting as lead on assigned committees
- Recruits families with children birth to age five to the Family Resource Center at least weekly
- Conducts outreach with existing families to maintain engagement at least monthly
- Plans and implements workshops, parent/child interaction classes, parent support groups, and events
- Schedules and maintains a calendar of classes, services, and events
- Includes working some evenings and some Saturdays
- Includes traveling to other locations in order to attend family events and market the Family Resource Center
- Attends First Things First regional council meetings as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of federal, state and District rules, regulations related to First Things First
- Knowledge of computer applications and spreadsheets
- Knowledge of budget monitoring and coordination
- Knowledge of administration practices and procedures
- Knowledge of file maintenance and recordkeeping practices and procedures
- Skill utilizing verbal and written communication skills to correspond with or provide information to a culturally diverse population
- Skill utilizing verbal and written communication skills to develop correspondence, reports, and specialized materials and spreadsheets
- Skill coordinating and scheduling meetings, appointments, transportation, and staff
- Skill prioritizing, assigning and reviewing work
- Skill monitoring and administering various budgets
- Skill accurately entering, updating, retrieving and maintaining databases pertinent to area of assignment
- Skill accurately transcribing reports and correspondence
- Skill maintaining confidential files and records
- Skill utilizing customer service/public relations skills in responding to requests, inquiries and complaints
- Skill establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
WORKING CONDITIONS:
General office environment with extensive child and public contact
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Repetitive motion and eye strain through extensive utilization of computer hardware and software
Ability to move, lift, push or pull up to 40 pounds May require bending, stooping, standing, reaching May require travel to different sites
