GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Communications Coordinator oversees the creation of written promotional and program materials for Child & Family Resources with a strong and developed brand voice. In this role, you will work closely with various programs to gather up to date information and relay it to the public through different online platforms. Success in this role will be demonstrated by effectively gathering information internally and delivering our message to the public and media to increase awareness across the state of Arizona.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Meet regularly with all programs within CFR in person and remotely to gather upcoming program and event information
- Create written collateral from information gathered from programs for:
- Social media posts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
- Newsletters
- Blog posts
- Website Updates
- Google Business Updates
- Yelp Updates
- Keep social media profiles updated and posting regularly
- Respond to online reviews in a timely and informative manner
- Event Calendar Management
- Attend press functions and events as a representative for Child & Family Resources to take pictures, videos and conduct interviews
- Update Website as programs evolve
- Internal System Updates
- Meet regularly with the Marketing team to relay information and request graphics
- Write Press Releases and correspond with news outlets to schedule interviews and news stories
- Other social media and communications functions as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism, or a comparable combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Proficient in MS Office, web analytics, and various social media applications
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM campaigns and marketing software such as customer relationship management and content management systems
- Minimum 2+ years of Wordpress experience
- Blog writing experience
- Google Business and Analytics experience
- Meta Business Suite experience
- Social Media content creation experience
- Canva experience a plus
- Photography experience a plus
- Public Speaking experience a plus
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
- Maintain a functional and safe home working space with adequate internet connection for the job.
- Comply with all agency and program policies and procedures including confidentiality, employee conduct, computer usage and dress code.
- Meet program/department’s performance and productivity standards.
- Attend required agency and program/department meetings and events.
- Adhere to the schedule agreed upon with the supervisor.
- Follow and model CFR’s core values.
- Participate in PQI initiatives.
- Must be eligible and able to obtain a Level one fingerprint card.
- Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, Arizona vehicle registration, and meet agency and Arizona liability insurance requirements.

ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting for extended periods of time daily; standing and walking short distances.
- Moderate twisting, bending, stooping and lifting up to 40 pounds in the performance of assigned duties.
- Ability to use a variety of office equipment and machines as referenced.
- Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required.
- Repeated hand-wrist movement required.
The nature of the position involves a fast paced working environment with multitasking of many different duties and tasks. General daily priorities may change at a moment’s notice and the position requires quick response time and flexibility.
