Form of work3PL Operations Manager (Remote/Hybrid)
Location:
While this is a remote-first role, we would prefer to have someone based in the Louisville, Kentucky area to be near our fulfillment warehouse. Being on the East Coast is also an option with travel to our warehouse once or twice a month.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our Operations Team! You will serve as the key point of contact with our third-party logistic (3PL) partners. In this role you will ensure they are meeting the requirements of the business as we grow and implement improvement initiatives to continuously raise their level of service.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Oversee the relationship with our 3PL partners to ensure that they are meeting/exceeding their service-level agreements (SLAs).
Identify, launch and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives with the 3PL to increase their efficiency and decrease costs.
Evaluate performance through key performance indicator (KPI) scorecarding and SLA development to drive service level, efficiency and cost control.
Ensure D2C customer fulfillment experience is meeting company targets.
Oversee 3PL Value Add Services (VAS) execution.
Closely work with 3PL partners technical development teams to deliver improvements in customer service / order fulfillment execution.
Perform ad-hoc data analysis to derive insights into our business and our 3PL performance.
Develop and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to maintain high alignment with 3PL partners on company objectives and their performance on key KPIs and SLAs.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures such as inventory accuracy and control, returns, damages, etc,
Oversee the receiving and inspection of incoming inventory, ensure proper storage and handling, and manage returns and disposal of defective or excess stock.
Oversee regular inventory audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory data, and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Travel to our warehouse once or twice a month to meet with the 3PL team and oversee the operation.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations preferably with start-up and/or CPG exposure.
Experience working with a 3PL team or an owned and operated warehouse team.
Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
Process oriented with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Strong sense of urgency and time management skills; ability to work within deadlines on multiple projects and competing priorities.
Comfortable in ambiguous situations; ability to figure things out quickly and make decisions without all the facts.
Quick learner with a knack for analyzing and solving problems in out-of-the-box ways.
Must love dogs or cats (& treats!).
