Basic understanding of Product Development (Includes Software and Electrical PCBA's), and Product Verification procedures surrounding the same.
Experience writing Comprehensive Test cases, software and Hardware test plans, protocols, and reports.
Able to participate in Sprints and effectively communicate with other Engineers, Designers, Marketing, PMO, and to all levels of business.
Experience in Automation is not a Must but is nice to have. We are targeting anyone with Ranorex and LabVIEW skill sets.
Education Required: B.S. or M.S. from an accredited school in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering
Years' Experience Required:
2 or more years of Software and Hardware verification planning, test case writing, report generation, test case management and reporting Issues.
Very nice to have 2 years of experience in the medical device industry.
We certainly need some one with a min of 2-year experience in Product development.
Will the contractor be working 40 hours a week? If not, weekly estimate?
Yes 40 hours of week is what we expect.
Does this position require the candidate to be onsite or remote, if hybrid what does the onsite vs remote schedule look like?
Onsite required. The hybrid model may not be applied but willing to accept some flex hours as needed.

What product line will this person support?
They will be Supporting Project Integrated Power Console (IPCx) Hardware and Software test activities.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Contributes towards creation of functional requirements and expectations during design, development, and verification phases.
Assist usability team in documenting requirements including user stories with acceptance criteria and testing flow diagrams.
Create, organize, manage, and carry out the execution of user acceptance testing to ensure all use case scenarios are covered and the product meets end-user's
Integrate Software and Hardware sub systems to perform system verification in various environments including Operating room (OR) and Office
Develop and execute V&V test plans, protocols, reports, and test procedures. Conduct technical assessment for Design Inputs (DI) resulting in viable verification strategies to satisfy the DI's.
Adhere to internal quality processes and procedures, produce quality artifacts such as verification and validation plans, test reports and other necessary documentation satisfying regulatory
Develop and utilize new tools to assist in test automation efforts throughout the product development and maintenance processes.
Develop software for product test fixtures and provide
Identify, report, and track defects found as part of automation and manual verification activities. Participate in identifying the root cause of the defects and offer strategic advice in resolving the
Perform code reviews to make sure the code is written according to coding standards and the edge cases are handled correctly.
Collaborate with the other disciplines of engineering, and new product development group in designing/building test fixtures needed for system verification activities. Generate specifications, test plans and test reports for fixture validation purposes and release the same in
Work within established development standards and methodologies, including agile development. Responsible for delivering a working prototype at the end of a
Represent the Software test group on all software-related testing decisions, acting as the team's representative in cross-functional meetings. Provide inputs on coding for testability, execution of verification protocols, code reviews while adhering to coding
SKILLS Needed:
Ability to read and understand software requirement specifications, detailed design documents
Ability to write software test plans, protocols, unit tests, and reports
Ability to perform software risk analysis
Skilled in the identification and debug of software and hardware defects
Experience with multiple programming languages including C, C++, VB.NET, etc.
Experience over a range of platforms; i.e. .Net Framework, DSP,
Experience with software configuration management and bug tracking
Experience with unit test software concepts and utilities/harnesses.
Experience with automated testing environments; i.e. LabVIEW, Visual Studio, Ranorex
Able to work and communicate effectively with other engineers, designers, marketers and suppliers to develop products from concept through commercialization in a cross-functional team
Skilled in the use of Office Products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, )
Effective oral, written communication and presentation skills. Exercises good judgment when communicating to all levels in the business
Education Required
