Position Title: Project Coordinator, Healthcare Access
Department: Eligibility and Enrollment
Reports To: Healthcare Access Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
Status: Full-Time Regular
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Coordinator is a key contributor in eligibility and enrollment projects. The individual in this position will work on grant activities, such as coordination and monitoring of contract activities, data collection, and reporting. The Project Coordinator will also work collaboratively with the Healthcare Access Manager to provide technical support and training for enrollment services staff at the Consortium member health centers.

- Collaborate with the Healthcare Access Manager to gather grant proposal information and write progress reports
- Coordinate and oversee grant activities to meet project timelines, budgetary constraints, and performance goals
- Collect and organize accurate records and files regarding program activities to prepare periodic and special statistical or narrative reports
- Monitor assigned program to help ensure compliance with contract provisions and funding source regulations
- Represent Eligibility and Enrollment on designated committees and task forces
- Travel to local meetings and site visits required
- Some out-of-town travel may be required
- Coordinate training process (e.g. Certified Enrollment Counselor’s, member clinics’ enrollment staff, On-Site Medi-Cal Eligibility liaisons)
- Stay current on public health programs (e.g. Medi-Cal, Medicare, HealthPAC, and Covered California)
- Function as liaison between Alameda Health Consortium, Community Health Center Network, member health centers, and community partners
- Monitor BenefitsCal access requests for member clinics’ users
- Provide HealthPAC Access system technical assistance
- Recommends operational changes to maximize service delivery and revenue reimbursement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Experience:
- 1+ years’ experience with eligibility and enrollment in Covered California, Medi-Cal, Medicare, and HealthPAC environment
- 1+ years’ experience organizing and conducting meetings
- Initiate contact with member clinics for data gathering
- Ability to conduct online research related to eligibility and enrollment
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively to establish positive relationships with diverse populations
Desired Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with Medi-Cal or HealthPAC enrollment systems.
- Experience with health services and health care safety net issues preferred.
- Interest in underserved populations (e.g. low-income, minority populations, homeless populations with mental illness, immigrant populations).
Required Education/License(s):
•Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Community Health, Public Health, Health Administration, a plus)
•Valid California Driver’s License
