Telephone Operator

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Phone Operator to join our team. As a Phone Operator, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls, providing information, and directing calls to the appropriate departments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proficient in data entry, and possess strong phone etiquette.

Duties:
- Answer incoming calls and provide assistance or direct calls to the appropriate departments

- Utilizes paging, ACD and voice mail systems to ensure proper routing of calls
- Take messages and relay them to the appropriate individuals
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly (Bilingual preferred but not required)
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with callers
- Provide information about products, services, and company policies
- Perform general clerical tasks during quieter periods on the switchboard
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in data entry and clerical tasks
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly
- Knowledge of phone systems and basic troubleshooting
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
