Experienced Data Center Network Install Specialist
Security+ required
4+ years of prior relevant experience
Understanding of ANSI/TIA-568 and 569 standards.
Requirements of Protective Distribution Systems (PDS) for Classified Systems as directed by Security and/or the Certified Tempest Technical Authority (CTTA).
Knowledge of National Security Telecommunication & Information Systems Security Instruction (NTISSI) 7003.
Topology and rack elevations using Visio.
Experience with various OTDR, cable testers, and network sniffers to develop reports for infrastructure certification documentation.
Experience with voltage (120v/240v/480v) pertaining to equipment install
Bachelors degree required or an additional 4 years of work experience
DUTIES:
Lead network survey, design and installations under direction of the government.
Conduct Site Surveys of customer premise networks in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Create detailed Site Survey reports detailing a site s current infrastructure, NIST and TEMPEST compliance, along with design recommendations.
Configure, install, test, certify, and troubleshoot network infrastructure cabling.
Ensure Network cabling infrastructure is compliant with current NIST and TEMPEST Standards.
Build and install equipment racks.
Install, dress, label, and terminate Cat6 and Fiber cable in telecommunications rooms.
Test and troubleshoot network infrastructure issues on SIPR and NIPR networks.
Create accurate reports and documentation to design/certify network infrastructure.
Track, manage, and ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Develop Bills of Material (BOM) for network plant design requirements.
Plan and perform preventive maintenance and scheduled upgrades (Life-cycle replacements)
Investigate physical faults in the network.
Report network infrastructure deployment status to key stakeholders.
Have flexible working hours to be available to support off hour work, when needed.
