The system strives to become as good at preventing disease as it is at treating it. Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.
Summary:
Plans, designs and builds networks and/or computer systems for the MetroHealth System. Researches the latest technology as it applies to the MetroHealth infrastructure and technological potential. Monitors all networks and systems for maximum usage and performance. Evaluates vendor proposals and vendor solutions. Insures enterprise-wide computer and network security. Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline. May substitute work experience if deemed of adequate complexity and responsibility. Five years experience with data networks with three or more years experience in network design and/or implementation (minimally utilizing Cisco router/switches, TCP/IP). Three or more years working with Wireless infrastructure and security technologies. Three or more years experience with Cisco and Checkpoint firewalls. Network Access Control experience. Ability to lead technical projects involving staff from multiple disciplines. Preferred: Experience with Microsoft operating systems and server software. Cisco Network, Wireless and Security Certifications: CCNA, CCNP Physical Demands:
