Peraton is seeking an entry level Technical Writer/Editor in the Development Support Team (DST) for the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program. This is part of the Navy's Tomahawk Missile program. We are a CMMI Level 3 rated program. This position is onsite in Santa Clara, CA with occasional telework.
Peraton develops several TMPC applications, providing support for tactical and training operations. Functions provided by these applications include mission planning; data distribution; strike planning, rehearsal, and coordination; strike execution, monitoring, and control; strike reporting; and communications configuration and data management/delivery.

Target Salary Range
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

What you'll do:
- Work closely with engineering/support to develop and revise technical user documentation.
- Write and edits documents and on-line help based on rough input from developers.
- Review/update documents for completeness, accuracy, and correctness of language use.
- Revise documents to meet Peraton and customers standards of style and accuracy.
- Look for inconsistencies of thought, development, or organization.
- Confer with authors to recommend treatment of material.
- Reorganize, cuts or rewrites as necessary.
- Track changes and oversees reviews and approvals to ensure adherence to release deadlines.
Qualifications
- 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree
- Proficient with MS Word
- Ability to complete tasks in a high-quality and timely manner.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- The abillity to obtain a SECRET clearance.
