We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our team!
Preferred location: Sunnyvale, CA Office Based (Hybrid)
What you'll do at Elekta:
The Senior Technical Author has proven expertise identifying key content requirements to develop high-quality and technically accurate customer-facing content to support our comprehensive software portfolio.
This role independently manages projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment. The Senior Technical Author will collaborate with cross-functional areas of Elekta's global business and actively contribute with scrum teams.
This role requires strong interpersonal and inter-team communication skills. Regular status reporting across different functions is also required. The person for this role should have recent and demonstrable experience with:
Responsibilities
- In accordance with project requirements, local and global company policies, develop and publish content using DITA XML.
- Deliver contextually relevant content, for a variety of clinical site personnel, using help topics, release notes, configuration guides, and other supplemental material.
- Collaborate with various product teams to ensure quality and accuracy of content.
- Take ownership of deliverables in your product area, identify documentation needs, and spearhead efforts to identify areas of improvement.
- Regularly report to team lead your work status, obstacles, initiatives.
- Identify risks and manage and/or escalate to the project team and functional management.
- Initiate and support translation activities with the localization team.
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks and work simultaneously on multiple projects.
- Able to scope, resource, plan, track, and execute against release timelines, in close collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

- Experience with peer reviews, working within a collaborative environment.
- Identify strategies to improve document content, delivery methods.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Employees must be able to read, speak, write, and comprehend the English language.
- 10+ years of experience creating, editing, and reviewing technical documentation, or content strategist.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Current experience with DITA based documentation preparation tools.
- Current experience with Office tools, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
- Experience working in a Content Management System (CMS).

The US base salary range for this position is $77,126- $115,690
