Technical Writer (2-Yr Contract)

Santa Clara telecommunications and electronics manufacturer seeks Technical Writer for a 2-year contracted opportunity. M-F, 40 hrs/week. $45-50/hr.

Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):

• Draft technical manufacturing process documentation and work instructions
• Interface with operations staff to understand manufacturing processes being executed
• Provide training for how to use different applications and forms
• Develop standardized templates for data collection
• On-the-job training is received in specialized areas
• Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE
• Other research or related activities as deemed necessary

Requirements:

• Onsite in Santa Clara (remote is not an option)
• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree (preferred); prefer at least 5 years' experience in manufacturing document control
• Ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams of talented people
• Basic understanding of manufacturing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize day to day activities balancing immediate needs with intermediate term project goals
