Job Summary

Performs advanced (senior-level) agile Project Management work. Responsible for coordinating , planning and initiation of diverse projects at various level s of completion; monitoring the progress and timelines of projects, and communicating with stakeholders, leadership and other relevant parties.Assure feature and functionality and performance metrics requirements are defined. Initiate, facilitate and monitor specific inter/intra-departmental project progress and performance to assure quality and on time delivery. Ensure milestone dates are met. Monitor risks during various stages of the project and escalate issues to the appropriate level of management. Maintain project status reports on projects. Create and manage contingency plans for projects. Evaluate impact change request against communicated timelines. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • The position resides in the Agile Portfolio Management team within the Global Technology Organization team.
  • Acts as a Project Manager 50% of the time and Scrum Master 50% of the time
    • Working directly with development teams that provide foundational software components and services that power the enterprise. This includes web applications using javascript and modern UI frameworks, cloud-based web services, and several content management platforms.
  • Experience with Smartsheet's for reporting, Tableau Dashboards, Jira, Rally, Confluence, and MS Office Suite
  • Program Manager/RTE (Release Train Engineer) experience would be excellent.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting on project/program level.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior-level leadership
  • Self-starter and able to hit the ground running - acts as a leader in the team.
  • Scrum master certification is highly valued but not required.
  • Project/Program Management and Scrum Master experience are a must have.
  • Has the potential to be working with multiple teams, depending on the program.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive project deliverables and coach the teams to ensure project success.
  • Facilitates the team's refinement of features in planning to meet the Feature Definition of Ready.
  • Ensures effective communication and coordination during planning.
  • Participate with management and cross-functional teams as the subject matter expert to develop and improve operating policies and procedures related to the Agile Framework. Be an advocate for adopting Agile best practices, guidelines, and processes.
  • Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments.
  • Provide status reporting on project key performance indicators (KPIs) and Portfolio Health Metrics.
  • Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and capacity as needed, based on the needs of the business.
  • Establish and monitors adherence to plans and schedules, identify delivery risks, and obtain/drive mitigation strategies and solutions.
  • Serve as a conduit between the engineering and product team to ensure requirements and design considerations are incorporated.
  • Work with other Project Managers to track and manage inter-project dependencies.
  • Mentors' junior-level Project Managers and scrum masters on the Agile Portfolio Management team.
  • Uses consistent independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
