Responsibilities:
- Utilize Lacerte tax software to prepare and complete accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Reconcile statements and other miscellaneous bookkeeping responsibilities for select clients
- Filing sales tax and advising clients on filing PTET returns using the NYS DTF website
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial documents and answer any tax-related or bookkeeping questions
- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Experience:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns
- Knowledge of various tax forms and schedules
- Familiarity with 10-key typing for efficient data entry
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
