Pro-Fi 20/20, CPAs is adding a Tax Preparer with 2 years tax experience to our team in our Suwanee, GA office, onsite and hybrid options.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and other types of tax returns.
- Preparation and review of income tax projections that involve multiple scenarios and complex analysis.
- Identify potential tax problem areas and propose solutions to management team.
- Receive, review, and resolve federal and state income tax controversy and inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to offer additional service solutions to existing clients.
- Serve as a technical resource to lesser experienced Tax team members.
- Assist with projects as needed.
- Research tax issues affecting the client and document conclusions and recommendations.
- Assist with other tax projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years recent tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master’s degree preferred, but not required.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, CCH Axcess or CCH Pro System, a plus.
- Technical knowledge of accounting and tax concepts.
- Self-motivated and able to produce results with little direction.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate experience in Windows environment as well as Excel and Word required.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Superior analytical and research skills.
- Client-oriented work ethic.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Due to dealing with sensitive information, a criminal background check is required.
- Discretion when handling confidential information.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Minimum of an Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- A people person with a warm personality
- One or more years of tax and accounting experience preferred.
- Time management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple responsibilities and changing priorities is vital
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of in-house staff and clients
- Must be able to identify problems and offer workable solutions
- Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work under periods of high pressure with tight timeframes while maintaining focus

Due to the nature of our business, we do experience periods of peak workload, typically from January 1 - April 15 and September 1 - October 15, with busier periods being closer to deadline dates. A requirement of this role is the ability to work occasional overtime during this peak workload period and that may include a partial Saturday(s).
