Key Responsibilities:
Looking for a knowledgeable and experienced tax preparer or accountant that can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an individual that can quickly and accurately oversee multiple clients ‘accounts. This job does require working under pressure and with critical time restraints organization and prioritization are must have qualities.
• Audit Support: Assist in preparing financial statements and documentation for audits, working closely with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
• Tax Preperation for multiple clients (individuals, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, LLCs, Trusts)
• Work directly with clients to obtain necessary information to complete tax returns
• Monthly Closing of Books: Contribute to the monthly closing process, ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Tax Planning: Participate in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize our tax position while adhering to tax laws and regulations.
• State Regulatory Compliance: Manage regulatory and compliance matters for the company in various states, staying informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Collaboration: Work alongside our senior accountant and finance team to provide support on various financial and accounting tasks.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial work.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and with colleagues in various departments.
• Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, CPA or EA (they are showing flexibility)
2 plus years of experience in public sector.
