Director of Tax and Accounting

Mitroff Consulting & Associates has been retained to conduct a very senior Tax career opportunity. This is a senior level position in a casual work environment located in the East Bay area. The Client has an outstanding work/life balance. The employee will not work beyond the usual work week - not the typical 60/70 hours found in Public Accounting during tax season. It is an excellent career opportunity with advancement opportunities.

Here is a brief version of what we are seeking:

Successful tax experience within a Public Accounting Firm.

An active California CPA license; a JD and/or LL.M would be preferred but not necessary.

Solid, successful abilities to supervise current engagements as well as follow-up on completed projects.

Strong technical and organizational skills.

Experience with Lacerte or CCH is a plus.

Ability to generate, analyze, and present the financial disposition of a business.

The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent writing and communication skills.

Exceptional organization skills as well as an ability to multi-task, complete large numbers of complex projects.

Proven successful experience recruiting, supervising, and mentoring an accounting team.

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office© programs.

Educational credentials that indicate the candidate has been well schooled and is trained to think and communicate in a meaningful and effective way.
