LOCATION: YONKERS ,NY
SALARY: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00
SUMMARY:
Westhab is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us source, identify, screen, and hire candidates for various roles in the organization. This position will partner with the hiring managers and the Human Resources Coordinators (HRC’s) in building relationships with internal and external parties to build a strong pipeline of candidates for current and future hiring needs. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources and will work out of the Yonkers office. Local travel is required.
RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE BUT AT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Implement all phases of the recruitment process, and develop effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the needs of the organization.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop detailed and accurate job descriptions and create interview questions based on the positions requirements.
- Develop job postings for online sourcing and monitor all job boards to ensure that all postings are current and actively receiving candidates. Contact job boards directly if there is technical issue with the job postings.
- Work with the Communications Manager and the HR Directors on employer branding initiatives for both internal and external communications.
- Source applicants through online channels including college and university job boards. Screen resumes and applications and refer appropriate candidates to the hiring managers for review.
- Participate in job fairs hosted by community partners, colleges and universities, our funders and other contacts developed and foster long-term relationships.
- Assists with the interview process by attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree preferred, Associates Degree required in Human Resources or a related field of study. A minimum of 3 years of direct experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods. Preferred experience in working with the ADP Recruitment platform and Onboarding experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to interpersonal skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
