Position Overview: The Talent Acquisition Sourcer plays a crucial role in the recruitment process by identifying and engaging top-tier candidates to meet the organization’s hiring needs. This role involves proactive research, candidate sourcing, and initial outreach to potential candidates. The Sourcer collaborates closely with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
Role and Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing and Identification:
- Utilize various channels (job boards, social media, professional networks, etc.) to identify potential candidates.
- Conduct thorough research to identify passive candidates and niche talent pools.
- Leverage advanced search techniques and tools to find candidates with specific skills and experience.
Candidate Engagement and Outreach:
- Initiate contact with potential candidates through personalized messages, emails, and phone calls.
- Provide candidates with detailed information about the role and organization.
- Build and nurture relationships with potential candidates, acting as the initial point of contact.
Market Research and Talent Mapping:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and talent market insights.
- Create and maintain talent maps to identify key individuals within specific industries or skill sets.
Collaboration with Hiring Teams:
- Work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand specific job requirements and candidate profiles.
- Provide timely updates on candidate progress and feedback to the recruitment team.
Candidate Assessment and Qualification:
- Conduct initial phone screenings to evaluate candidates' qualifications, motivations, and cultural fit.
- Provide detailed candidate profiles to recruiters, highlighting key strengths and potential concerns.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and progress in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Generate regular reports on sourcing activities, metrics, and pipeline status.
Candidate Experience Enhancement:
- Ensure candidates have a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the organization's values and culture.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in talent sourcing or a related role.
- Proficiency in using sourcing tools and platforms (LinkedIn, Boolean search, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
