As a Systems Administrator II you will: Participate in processes throughout all phases of the ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests Provide Tier II support for Windows servers, workstations, file & print servers, system files & documentation, and ensure optimal Information System performance. Determine the best solution based on the details/issues provided by customers. Follow-up with customers, provide feedback, and see problems through to resolution.

A week in the life of a Systems Administrator II: Installing/uninstalling/configuring computer systems and network hardware components including printers, routers, switches, and other peripheral devices.
Maintaining/troubleshooting customer Windows servers and workstations, both on-site and remotely. Performing Windows System Administrative support such as adding and removing users, performing backups, installing software, and monitoring systems. Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and questions.
Properly escalating unresolved queries to the next level of support. Tracking, routing, and redirecting problems to correct resources. Learning fundamental operations of commonly used software and hardware equipment.
Writing and editing and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Accurately logging all tickets using the defined tracking software. Ensuring proper incident and request recording, documentation, and closure.
Coordinating and administrating day-to-day tasks and ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained while meeting customer schedules. Utilizing excellent customer service skills and exceeding customer expectations.Active TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility - adjudicated within the last 6 years. 2+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator role DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP) Acquiring DoD 8570 Computing Environment certifications within 6 months of hire (e.g., MS MDAA, MS Azure certifications, etc.) Experience with deploying workstation images and thin/zero clients.
Knowledge of Office 2010/2016 and Windows 2008/2012/2016 Servers. Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2010, vSphere, Horizon View, data backups, and antivirus. Foundational knowledge of networks.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications for support, reporting and documentation. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with or without direct supervision.
Ability, on occasion, to provide customer support outside normal duty hours. Must be open to 10% annual travel and possess a valid US driver's license. Willing to submit to a random CI polygraph.
