Position Location:
Hybrid from our Broomfield, CO office, supporting OA staff who are in multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
- Endpoint Configuration and Deployment: Deploy endpoints running Windows, Ubuntu Linux, and macOS utilizing automated deployment media. (Optionally: Develop and test the automated deployment media and methods.)
- Endpoint Management: Manage the lifecycle of endpoints, including inventory management, asset tracking, system refreshments, and configuration management. Leverage Microsoft Intune for Windows and macOS configuration management and Ansible for Ubuntu Linux.
- Compliance and Governance: Utilize Microsoft Intune and Ansible configuration management to ensure that infrastructure and end-user endpoints adhere to regulatory requirements including CMMC 2.0 Level 2, industry best-practices, and organizational policies related to data security, privacy, and compliance.
- Endpoint Performance Optimization: Develop and test optimized endpoint configurations and settings to improve performance, efficiency, and user experience. Deploy using endpoint management tools. May includes end-user support to identify and fix problematic issues then proactively remediate for others.
- Endpoint Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain documentation on system designs, endpoint configurations, and standard procedures for reference by IT staff and end users. This may also involve generating documentation on security and compliance status for management review.
- Network Management and Troubleshooting: Simple management and troubleshooting for a Ubiquiti-based campus network. This may involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, diagnosing network connectivity problems, and providing technical support to end users.
- Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Respond to business, management, and user needs/requests by evaluating new technologies, tools, software, or other solutions as necessary or proactively. This may involve researching industry trends, conducting proof-of-concept testing, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify and implement solutions.
- Infrastructure Services Operations: Configure, maintain, and monitor Microsoft 365 GCC High and Azure Government-based services, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, Teams/SharePoint/OneDrive, the Microsoft Defender suite, and Microsoft Intune
- System Security and Threat Awareness: Stay up-to-date on emerging threats to system components, including Microsoft 365 services, AWS Services, and endpoints.
Clearance Requirement:
- Candidate must agree to participate in a background screen.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in an Informations Systems or related field plus 10 years or more hands on professional experience. (Higher level degree considered as 2 years of professional experience).
- Familiarity industry best practices, with the demonstrated ability to select and apply commercial or government standards as needed or directed.
- Strong Microsoft systems background.
- Experience, expertise and excellent bed-side manner for end-user support.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred:
- Experience with Linux/Ubuntu operating systems
- Results-oriented work ethic and able to communicate effectively with senior leadership and other engineering disciplines.
- Capture effort coordination and developing proposals to obtain funding, spanning technical proposal development, work decomposition, and cost estimation.
- Current DoD clearance.
Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $140,000 - $165,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
