SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
ACTIVE DIRECTORY SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR AND MICROSOFT 365 GLOBAL ADMIN
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORKING INDEPENDENTLY COORDINATES AND ADMINISTERS ENTERPRISE MICROSOFT ACTIVE DIRECTORY, OFFICE 365 AND IDENTITY MANAGEMENT FOR THE DIVISION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. THIS POSITION WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE OF THE UNIVERSITY'S ACTIVE DIRECTORY, AND OFFICE 365 INFRASTRUCTURE AND DELIVERY OF SERVICES TO OUR CUSTOMERS. THIS POSITION SERVES AS THE GLOBAL ADMINISTRATOR FOR MICROSOFT 365. PARTICULAR AREAS INCLUDE:
-RESPONSIBLE FOR TECHNICAL OPERATIONS, PROCESSES, AND PROJECTS TO INSTALL & SUPPORT STATE-OF-THE-ART DIRECTORY SERVICES, ENTERPRISE EMAIL, COLLABORATIVE SYSTEMS AND IDENTITY MANAGEMENT INTEGRATIONS.
-PROVIDE DIRECTION IN THE USE OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES.
-LEAD IN PROJECT TEAMS TO RESEARCH, MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS, AND INSTALL, CONFIGURE AND MAINTAIN THESE SYSTEMS.
-RESPONSIBLE FOR TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLEX PROBLEMS, SOFTWARE, HARDWARE AND NETWORK ISSUES.
-MONITOR SYSTEMS PERFORMANCE AND ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH SECURITY STANDARDS.

PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
Task automation and scripting for routine maintenance.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing and resolving server and network issues.
System performance monitoring.
Communication:
Clear communication with other IT professionals and end-users.
Documentation of procedures and configurations.
Server Administration:
Windows Server operating system knowledge and administration.
File and print services management.
Security and permissions management.
Networking:
TCP/IP, subnets, and routing knowledge.
VPN configuration and management.
Firewall and network security.
Security:
Security best practices and policies.
Implementation of security measures.
Incident response and management.
OFFICE 365 GLOBAL ADMIN
Office 365 Administration:
User and license management.
Exchange Online administration.
SharePoint Online and OneDrive administration.
Identity and Access Management:
Azure Active Directory management.
Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration.
Security and Compliance:
Security policies and configurations.
Data loss prevention (DLP) settings.
Compliance center management.
Exchange Online:
Email configuration and management.
SPF & DKIM configuration and support.
Distribution groups and shared mailboxes.
Integration with On-Premises Systems:
Integration between Office 365 and on-premises systems.

SharePoint Online and OneDrive:
Site collection and library administration.
Permissions and sharing settings.
Teams and Skype for Business:
Configuration and management of communication tools.
Power Platform:
Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate administration.
Training and Support:
User training on Office 365 tools.
Support for end-users on Office 365-related issues.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitoring service health and status.
Generating reports on usage and security.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Systems or related field and 4 years experience in computer systems development and modifications; or equivalency
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
MCP CERTIFICATION NOT REQUIRED BUT A PLUS
