Description
SAIC is looking for an ACAS/HBSS Support Administrator to support the US Navy's Computer Defense Network in North Charleston, SC.
- Primarily accountable for providing Engineering Solutions of Endpoint Security System (ESS)/Host Based Security System (HBSS) & Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS, Nessus & Security Center) to Afloat networks.
- Execute policy development and engineer upgrade solutions for Afloat vessels and maintain system compliance within ESS technology area.
- Configure & validate secure system & physical controls; test security products & systems to detect security vulnerabilities.
- Duties may also include, but are not limited to, deployment & administration of ePO, ESS/HBSS advanced policy tuning, deployment & administration of Security Center, network connectivity troubleshooting, & IV&V.
- Tasking includes but is not limited to troubleshooting, metrics collection, maintenance support, and the timely entry of communication and tasking into the ticket management tool (ITSM/Helix).
Travel: Anticipated travel is up to 10%, both CONUS and OCONUS. Candidate must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.
Qualifications
Required education and experience:
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; years of related experience with a GED/HS degree may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Required experience:
- Experience in designing, testing and validating, maintaining and/or deploying HBSS or ACAS systems in a DoD environment (experience with systems in large (15,000+) node environments is a plus)
- Experience conducting analyses of log files, to include individual host logs, network traffic logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection system logs, & aggregate Splunk data to identify & remediate possible threats to network security
- Experience utilizing DISA STIGs to harden and secure Windows and/or Linux systems with solid understanding of current operating system security design best practices
- Be self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
- Capable of creating in-depth, accurate technical documentation.
Required clearance:
- Active Secret clearance and have eligibility for a Top Secret clearance. Higher clearances accepted.
Desired experience:
- Knowledge of systems engineering activities and process improvement approaches strongly desired
- Knowledge of the RMF process and supporting deliverables
- CANES/ADNS experience for Afloat vessels
- Participation in SIT/AISIT events
Certifications:
- Required Current Security Certification: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, OR GCIH.
- Desired OS Certification: Windows or Linux Variant, VMWare, MS SQL, Active Directory, HBSS, ACAS, SPLUNK, Server+, or similar.
