We are looking for a Systems Administrator at MacDill AFB.
This position requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect solutions by applying advanced analysis skills to map customer business challenges to reusable and appropriate end-to-end technology solutions.
Establish and operate a server maintenance program that provides Systems Administration, operations and maintenance, and support for all USCENTCOM networks (U.S, allied, and coalition, and of several classification levels), to include servers (physical and virtual), Storage Area Networks (SAN), software applications, firmware, and network security.
Provide overall enterprise level network system administration, planning, and management. Design, manage, monitor, and optimize geographically dispersed networked systems. Perform system administration, operations and maintenance, and upgrades. Develop, implement, and document network systems.
- Thorough knowledge of SCCM/MECM and SCOM product suite (Configuration Management Console, Remote tools, Software Distribution, Inventory, Software Metering, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, SCCM Server components and Operating System Deployment), SCOM Administrator and Operator Console, and Windows Server 2016/2019 Enterprise Editions.
• Expertise in directory services architecture and/or messaging architecture as well as infrastructure deployment and/or distributed system implementation.
• WSUS expertise with knowledge of use in an air-gap environment
• PXE and Task Sequence knowledge and experience
• Complete understanding of how the MECM client works and how to troubleshoot bad clients
• Expert level knowledge assisting customers in architecting, planning, testing and deploying services including:
o Required dependent services such as Active Directory, Name Resolution (DNS), etc. within large (300+ server) network environments.
o Exchange Server 2013/16/19 designs.
o Experience with large scale servers/design including High Availability using Clustering and Storage Area Networks (SANs)
o Disaster Recovery planning/designs using replication techniques.
o Server consolidation including virtualization and client to server network bandwidth planning.
o Client Access designs for various scenarios including Outlook, Outlook Web Access (OWA), Exchange Active Sync (EAS) for Mobile Devices, Extranet access including Web Publishing with ISA or similar devices.
o Exchange Unified Messaging.
o Migrations/upgrade from previous versions of Microsoft Exchange Server. Industry Operational practices such as MOF and ITIL.
o Have a user level understanding of SQL server and how it is used in the MECM environment.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 7 years with AS/BS/BA preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
- Clearance: TS/SCI
- Required: Security+
- Strongly Desired: MCSA/MCSE
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Third Party messaging solutions that integrate with Exchange for items such as Anti-Virus, Anti-SPAM, Archiving, Compliancy, etc.
- Design and deployment experience with Instant Messaging such as Live Communication Server (LCS).
- Design and deployment experience with monitoring solutions such as System Center Operations Manager.
- Ability to envision, develop, coordinate, prioritize, lead, and motivate individual and team efforts to produce required and timely customer solutions.
- Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills at the system engineer level.
- Strong interpersonal skills to support multi-tier communications with both technical and non-technical professionals and solid overall communications and technical writing skills.
- Passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
