The opportunity
POSITION SUMMARY
The position is responsible for IBMi management, configurations, installations, maintenance and upgrades of Computer Systems hardware and software. The company ERP running on the AS400 is called TPS (Turning Point Systems). TPS is customized specifically to Anda and all development is completed and maintained internally. This position will administer and maintain security of the operating systems, restore files of systems by designing, writing, and implementing backup procedures. Provides 24/7 operational support for the IBMi system (TPS) and peripheral equipment, such as servers, desktops, printers and storage devices. Performs recovery procedures, scheduling and backups and monitors of batch processes. Responsible for 3rd party software updates. Deploys new software and updates to IBMi software TPS programs. Monitors iSeries stats (DASD, error messages, memory pools, CPU, etc).

Your experience and qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years experience
• Bachelor’s degree
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Extensive experience working on the iSeries (IBMi/AS400) is required
• Knowledge of current software, including Microsoft Office & Windows products
• Preferred knowledge of Distribution system (TPS – Turning Point Systems) application
• Preferred knowledge of Service Now Incident Management System
• Knowledge of PC network and internet connectivity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of the IT team
• Ability to work varied shifts, after hours and or weekends when needed
• Self-Motivated Team player
• Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
• Detail oriented, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
• Excellent time management
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
No travel required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasional:
• Sitting for extended periods of time at work station or mobile equipment.
Visual Acuity:
• Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
• May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
