Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose

The System Director, Centralized Clinical Services is responsible for developing, communicating and directing clinical integration and centralized services for optimization in the system clinical command center. This role is responsible for oversight, implementation, evaluation, and service delivery of comprehensive communication center services (PBX), virtual companion safety remote monitoring of our patients, a cardiac monitoring unit (monitor patient heart rhythms from an offsite location), and provide an extended resources EEG monitoring unit (provide neurology diagnostics and oversee remote patient monitoring services for the physician /provider and extends patient care delivery). 

Essential Key Job Responsibilities
  • Fosters an innovative and motivational work environment in the pursuit of excellence in clinical patient care and operations
  • Provides expertise in strategy, return on investment and project viability assessments.
  • Leads, prioritizes, plans and implements integration and optimization of centralized services such as 
    • Virtual companion, 
    • Central monitoring unit, 
    • Centralized EEG, 
    • Virtual nursing program, and 
    • Remote patient monitoring and navigation program
  • Ensures staff recognizes rhythms, patient care biometric variants to manage patient’s physiology responsible in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintains current knowledge of the technical operation and capabilities of the central monitoring station; maintains alarm systems according to established protocols identifies/troubleshoots routine technical problems 
  • Handles incoming and outgoing communications, answers questions and assists staff in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintains a safe work and patient environment, adhering to the hospital’s Safety, Risk Management and Regulatory Standards 
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment; orders, stocks and replenishes supplies and equipment as necessary; identifies and reports problems with supplies or equipment; 
  • Participates in quality assurance/improvement initiatives and activities; participates in growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Education 

  • Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare-related field required. If master’s degree is not in nursing, a baccalaureate or doctorate in nursing is required.

Required Experience

  • Minimum ten (10) years of nursing or directly related experience working in a leadership capacity required; includes five (5) years of experience in a large, complex organization (healthcare experience strongly preferred)

Required Certification and Licensure

  • Registered Nurse

  • Expert skill in leading, managing and engaging senior level business leadership, monitoring professional and technical staff

  • Display sound judgment, tact, discretion, and ability to develop and sustain a cooperative working relationship with all levels of employees, leaders, physicians and customers. Serves as one of the organization's key leaders in overall central Clinical Services
  • This role requires excellent management expertise, problem solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex issues to all levels of leadership

$54.12 - $78.47 /hour
