The Role
Your responsibilities:
As a Systems Programmer at Kyndryl, you'll have the opportunity to shape the very foundation of the technology that drives our world. Your work will involve developing, testing, and maintaining the software that controls a computer's operating system, hardware, and other systems software. You'll be a master troubleshooter and problem-solver, with the skills to fix even the most complex issues that arise.
In your role you will be supporting one of our largest financial clients and will be responsible for the following:
- You'll provide the underlying TPF (Transaction Process Facility) Mainframe operating system platform programming support that forms the backbone of our client applications.
- You'll guide functional objectives on technologies and make use of your expert knowledge to drive solutions to complex problems.
- Ensure the security of our computer systems and work closely with other IT professionals to design and implement cutting-edge technology that keeps Kyndryl ahead of the curve.
- As a leader in this field, you'll also be expected to conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) discussions for the products you work on and provide ongoing technical and operational guidance to lead professional work teams.
- Your expertise will be crucial in influencing people outside of your department or function, and you'll have the opportunity to directly shape the technology landscape of the world we live in.
- You'll be interacting with Clients and may have opportunities to present solutions to the client.

This position is fully remote and the anticipated compensation range for the position $107,000 to $258,000 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience.

Required Skills:
To be successful in this role you'll have the following skills and experience:
- Ability to manage TPF Operating Environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of TPF (IBM Transaction Process Facility) base environment is required
- Experience performing operating systems debugging on TPF, Admin functions of TPF, and Performance Analysis on TPF
- Experience and knowledge of zTPF in support of z/TPF platform, assist in the management of the mainframe hardware configuration with vendor interaction for upgrades and repairs/APARS and participate in hardware planning.
- Demonstrated ability to work with the account team and customer contacts.
- Must be proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, C, C++ Required
• Excels in problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (Root Cause Analysis)
• Experience in operating systems (z/Linux, UNIX, or z/OS)
Preferred Skills and Experience - z/TPF; RTMC; SRDF/ Storage.
- Experience with NetView / SysView, FTP, SFTP, Axway CFT, Connect: Direct, VIPA, DVIPA, etc. ideally in a complex GDPS environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
