Systems Administrator

Purpose:
We are currently seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our IT team and help us maintain and support our network infrastructure at our new manufacturing facility in Dallas, NC. You will be responsible for providing technical support to our organization's end-users, maintaining and troubleshooting our local area network, and assisting in the maintenance and connectivity of network-attached equipment as it relates to the manufacturing process. Your role will require you to work collaboratively with a remote IT team and other departments to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and effective support to end-users, troubleshooting network-related issues, and resolving technical problems to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Maintain detailed network documentation and standard operating procedures, to ensure a well-documented and organized network environment.
- In conjunction with the IT Dept., conduct training sessions to educate end-users on best practices for network usage, security, and troubleshooting common network issues.
- Participate in executing network infrastructure upgrades and improvements, and hardware/software upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate with the IT team, external vendors, and other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the network.
- Configure, install, and maintain PCs, laptops, and related peripherals.
- Support maintenance with network attached equipment and line/label printers.
- Administer Microsoft Office 365 applications and services.
- Manage and troubleshoot Windows operating systems.
- Monitor and maintain LAN and WAN networks for optimal performance.
- Identify and resolve network connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of network-attached equipment, which may include switches, routers, network cabling, thermal printers as well as the IoT as relates to a production/manufacturing facility.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of user issues, and solutions using a help desk ticketing system.
Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT end-user support and network troubleshooting.
Proficiency in M365 suite of applications including Power BI, MS Teams, etc.
SQL database experience a plus.
Experience with ERP migration/planning and understanding of ERP systems and their integration with business processes a plus.
Mechanical skills and the ability to perform basic maintenance on network equipment.
Experience in a manufacturing environment as relates to information systems and processes.
Having A+ certification is a plus and demonstrates proficiency in IT hardware and software.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and organization.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
