Your role...
The SVP, Retail Practice plays an essential role in the execution of ReSource Pro’s growth strategy, spearheading the growth and strategic direction of the retail business segment. This senior leader is responsible for driving revenue, building and maintaining C-Suite relationships across current and prospective clients, leading business development strategies, developing and managing a high-performing team. Additionally you will be identifying potential businesses for acquisition that align with the Retail Vertical’s vision and objectives and taking charge of their seamless integration, ensuring they contribute effectively to the vertical’s revenue growth, and guiding solution development to position the Retail Vertical to achieve consistent, predictable and profitable growth.
In 3 months, you will ...
- Take ownership of the Retail Vertical’s revenue, direct selling costs, and contribution margins driving growth through effective strategies and tactics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive Go-To-Market (GTM) deployment plans.
- Successfully integrate overlays, such as Transformation Services, Sales Development Reps (SDRs), Solutions Architects, and others as necessary to enhance sales execution, drive high-value deals and achieve targets.
- Successfully integrate Retail-focused acquisitions to strengthen ReSource Pro’s value proposition in the retail market and drive growth of new and existing customers.
- Act as an active seller by providing industry leads and personally contributing to building new C-Suite relationships.
- Take a leadership role in resolving significant client issues to support revenue retention and minimize risk to ReSource Pro. What you need to be successful…
- Lead the development and execution of the Retail Vertical business development strategy and maintain a Vertical-specific 3-year strategic plan that aligns services with customer needs.
- Champion the creation and delivery of effective vertical communication, industry outreach and messaging. Be a visible figurehead and evangelist for the Vertical within the market.
- Utilize (and/or conduct) thorough market research and analysis to identify potential clients, stay informed about industry trends, and assess the competitive landscape. Be a market insider within the retail space.
- Create and execute a plan for expanding services, and driving growth, within existing Retail clients.
- Partner with Corporate Development to identify a pipeline of potential M&A and/or Partnership targets that align with the vertical's overall strategy.
- Assume ownership of execution and integration of partnerships and/or acquisitions specific to the Vertical and own the profit margin contribution vs. plan for acquired businesses that are included in the Vertical, consistent with strategic objectives for Retail growth.
- Partner with Marketing to create the retail-specific annual market plan that identifies all the go-forward marketing-specific activities and deliverables for the vertical.
- Solicit and gain cross-functional support for initiatives to ensure successful deployment and adoption of new products and services.
What you need to be successful…
- 20+ years’ experience working in Insurance industry with heavy emphasis within retail agencies and/or selling to retail agencies. Preference for experience working with BPO/BPM providers.
- 10+ years leading and directing sales teams with strong revenue growth required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant area of study required.
- Certifications such as Sales Certifications (MEDDIC, Challenger Sales, Spin Selling, Sandler Training), or other similar certifications preferred.
- CPCU or other industry designations preferred.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes annual bonus eligibility, benefits, and other opportunities at ReSource Pro. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity relative to other ReSource Pro employees. This is a remote position, and the salary range for most locations for this role is $176,594-333,720. The salary range may vary based on the specific geographic location in which the candidate resides.
