About the role:A Leading Cloud-Based Provider seeks a high-performing Commercial Senior Counsel to join a collaborative Legal & Corporate Affairs Organization. This role will support a rapidly transforming and dynamic business. The focus will be on the growth and development of A Leading Cloud-Based Provider's technology and services solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex technology/subscription and strategic commercial contracts.
- Serving as a strategic business partner and trusted legal advisor to drive transformational business initiatives.
- Providing thought leadership and innovation in the development of efficient commercial contracting processes and templates.
- Providing day-to-day practical, action-oriented advice related to our constantly evolving technology and services solutions.
- Absorbing and substantively supporting our technology and service solutions, including relevant industry trends, practices and risks.
- Delivering legal guidance and analysis in complex due diligence related to potential mergers, acquisitions, etc.
- Making effective use of technology and automation in the practice of law, including contract management systems.
Requirements:
- Possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
- Able to proactively provide actionable guidance and advice, and sound business-focused solutions.
- 5+ years in-house experience.
- Experience in data privacy laws and intellectual property concepts related to technology and service solutions.
- Possess learning agility, including a demonstrated willingness to develop expertise in new subject matter areas.
- Be detail-orientation and have ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
- Have a proven track record of successful teamwork, exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
- Display adept ability to effectively present and communicate information to senior leadership and successfully impact decision-making.
