The Surgery Scheduler will be responsible for obtaining prior authorization and insurance verification, calculating patient financial estimates, coordinating the schedule, registration, and collecting payments day of surgery. The scheduler will identify and handle customer needs, providing exceptional customer service in a timely and efficient manner while working in a team environment. The scheduler will also be responsible for maintaining Medical Records Requests. Screen and update established patient information for accuracy, and schedule procedures according to procedure description. Work closely with clinical department staff to schedule procedures in an efficient manner based on departmental scheduling protocols. High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year in healthcare setting performing insurance verification, scheduling, registration, and billing functions. Schedules patients for outpatient procedures, with accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of surgical scheduling including but not limited to: patient scheduling, communication with surgeons, and medical records
- Manage all aspects of general office operations
- Assist in the preparation of daily office operations including: mail, filing, inventory, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of invoices for billing and collections
- Assist in the preparation of weekly financial reports as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
