Overview

Interior Jamb Prep uses pneumatic tools and powered saws to prep jambs for stock and special order interior doors, as well as pull jamb legs and heads to order.

Shift: 5:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery.
• Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Ensure that the quality of the finished product is defect free from voids, scratches and cut/dimensional errors.
• Ensure that all jamb heads for stock and specials are pulled, cut and ready at a pace that does not slow or stop the interior lines of production.
• It is the Interior Jamb Prep’s responsibility to ensure that all jamb legs for stock and specials are pulled, placed on a cart and ready at a pace.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills & Experience:

• 1-2 Years in construction, carpentry, or related area preferred
• Ability to read a Tape Measure down to 1/32 inch.
• Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and have the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to lift to 50+ lbs
• Common hand tool usage.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to organize and maintain detailed records.

Working Conditions:

Mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions.
