Surgery Scheduler

Company Description

Growing general surgical practice is in need of a dynamic, multitasking, self-motivated individual to take all surgery scheduling duties for 2 surgeons at 3 hospitals.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role; we are currently seeking a Surgery Scheduler; the duties include:

• Receiving surgery orders during clinic and by communication from the surgeon
• Excellent communication with surgeons
• Confirming with physicians, patient, and hospital an appropriate date/time for surgery
• Faxing all orders and clinicals to the appropriate hospital department
• Verifying insurance benefits and requesting authorization for surgical procedures
• Tracking need for clearances, additional imaging, or other pre procedure orders
• Delivering pre-procedure instructions to patients
• Confirming with patients and hospitals the day before procedure
• Scheduling post op appointment in the clinic
• Moving, changing, and rescheduling procedures as situation change
• Following up with patients who have not completed pre-op work up have not had surgery
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Surgery Scheduling:1 year (preferred)
• Medical Office: 2 years (preferred)

Language

• Spanish (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
