Surgery Scheduler

```Job Summary```
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler to join our team. The Surgery Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures for patients. This role requires strong administrative skills, knowledge of medical office procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

```Duties```
- Schedule surgical procedures for patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork and authorizations are obtained
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to schedule surgeries and ensure availability of operating rooms
- Communicate with patients to provide pre-operative instructions and answer any questions or concerns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scheduled surgeries, cancellations, and rescheduling
- Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain benefits for surgical procedures
- Assist in obtaining medical clearances and necessary documentation for surgeries
- Coordinate with other departments within the healthcare facility to ensure smooth scheduling and preparation for surgeries
- Provide administrative support to the surgical team as needed

```Experience```
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and terminology is a plus
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
