Position Summary
We are currently seeking an Account Administrator to join our Surety team. This role is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an administrative professional who has a high attention to detail, great organization skills and wants to learn more about the insurance and surety industry. The Account Administrator supports effective client relationships by providing exceptional assistance to our internal service teams with a focus on client experience.
This role performs several administrative functions that assist with the implementation, service and retention of Surety products for an assigned group of clients. Additionally, this position provides general support for an insurance trust administered by Haas & Wilkerson. The Account Administrator is a vital part of the team and assists in all aspects of the day-to-day servicing of clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for setting up new or processing renewal bonds and administering invoices.
  • Complete database tasks related to the account renewal process and policy maintenance.
  • Process non-renewals of bonds as necessary.
  • Coordinate administrative responsibilities of the business unit, such as handling mail, client correspondence, and following up on and/or keeping activities current.
  • Escalate client issues or concerns to the Surety Unit Leader when appropriate.
  • Coordinate client renewals for trust, including gathering information from client, updating our internal database and delivering quotes.
  • Process all renewals for trust, including updates to policies and certificate issuance.
  • Coordinate set up of all new trust clients including organizing documentation and filing appropriate documentations with applicable parties.
  • Ensure high quality work is produced with a dedication to accuracy, attention to detail, and data integrity.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service; during regular business hours, all communications (emails, voicemails, etc.) from either an internal team member or external contact should be returned within 24 hours.
  • Digitally maintain documentation of all activities utilizing the agency management system according to company policy and procedure.
Requirements
A High School diploma or GED is required, some college coursework is desirable. Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience working in an administrative or customer service role within a professional office environment. Previous experience working for an insurance agency or carrier is valued.
Candidates are required to have excellent customer service skills with the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail as well as excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and strong computer literacy for email, data entry and internet navigation are required. Experience using an agency management system is valued.
