Abilities First is hiring for the position of Support Coordinator to work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in NJ. TRAVEL IS REQURED TO the following possible counties: BERGEN, UNION, MIDDLESEX, MONMOUTH, OCEAN & SOMERSET COUNTIES to visit assigned clients every three months. This position is a remote/work from home but candidates MUST reside in NJ and be able to travel, as there are some in-person visits with clients to which you will travel to. This position is part time with the option to become full time. This position offers very competitive pay for the right individual. Candidates must be able to take initiative, work independently, make executive decisions when necessary and meet deadlines. We are seeking a self-motivated and compassionate individual with experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You must have excellent writing and communication skills, flexibility and be dedicated to helping others. Attention to detail and computer skills are also required.
Responsibilities include making initial visits, creating Individual Service Plans (ISPs), attending interdisciplinary team meetings, quarterly face-to-face contacts, and annual home visits, and making regular phone contacts. You will work with individuals and their families to connect them with community resources and supports to help them meet their goals and aspirations. Bilingual in Spanish or another language is a plus but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $3,500.00 - $7,000.00 per month
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
