Job Description

The Software BA/QA Analyst role will have a strong emphasis on business analysis. In this hybrid role, you will play a key part in bridging the gap between business needs and software quality. Your expertise in requirements gathering, enhancement design, and root cause analysis will be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge solutions and ensuring that our products and applications meet the highest standards.

This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytic and critical thinking skills, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a solid understanding of end-to-end Symmetry application and data architecture to support requirements analysis, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Business Requirements Analysis and documentation on designated new capabilities developed by Symmetry development
  • Conduct analysis on issues reported by the business to determine their root cause and recommended solution
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of products
  • Ensures adherence to SDLC and project management standards and use of DEVOPs tool
  • Escalates issues and risks that are beyond his/her control to sponsors and leadership
  • Drives consensus and resolves conflicts quickly
  • As needed, conduct analysis on issues reported by the business to determine their root cause and recommended solution
  • As needed, conduct manual testing of applications, reports, ETL, and other software solutions developed by Symmetry development

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 5+ year of experience in Business Analysis (financial background preferred)
  • Prior experience working with Loan Origination Software preferred
  • Ability to create Functional Requirement Documents with clear and thorough guidance for developers and QA
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong understanding of data and ability to analyze data to answer business questions
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Work tracking applications, and Virtual Machines
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate relevant project information with coworkers, peers, and management through written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work well with others or individually
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

If Symmetry uses Personal Information of an applicant, employee, or contractor for a purpose materially different than those disclosed in this notice, Symmetry will notify the employee and obtain explicit consent from the employee to use the Personal Information for this new purpose.
